Position: Chairman & HOD Cardiology
One of India's most experienced interventional cardiologists is Dr. Subhash Chandra. He earned his MBBS from Aligarh Muslim University in 1984. He earned his MD in General Medicine from the same university in 1987. Dr. Chandra later graduated with a doctor of medicine (DM) in cardiology from the esteemed AIIMS in 1993. In 1991, he also earned his DNB in cardiology. The chairman and head of the cardiology department of BLK Super Speciality Hospital in New Delhi is currently Dr. Subhash Chandra. Prior to this, he had ties to Apollo hospital, Fortis, and the Narinder Mohan Heart Centre.
In the specialty of cardiology, Dr. Subash Chandra enjoys a high level of credibility. He has completed more than 25,000 difficult cardiac surgeries successfully and has received several national and international accolades.
Additionally, to being a member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, he belongs to the Cardiological Society of India (CSI). The doctor offers a variety of treatments, including Holter, cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT), heart failure, pacemaker, and valve heart disease, among others.
Dr. Chandra is a visiting fellow in interventional cardiology in France and a member of the St. Jude Medical CRM Advisory Panel. His clinical background includes endovascular procedures including Carotid, Aortic, and subclavian angioplasties as well as the installation of IVC filters. He has extensive experience implanting devices, including biventricular pacemakers. His affiliation with the National Academy of Medical Sciences is evident.
