Dr. Sameer Kaushal is a certified eye surgeon from the famous All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi and is currently Senior Consultant & Head (Ophthalmology) at Artemis Hospital in Gurgaon.
He began his medical profession as an undergraduate at AIIMS in 1995. He went on to specialise in Ophthalmology after finishing medical school. This was followed by a three-year fellowship at the same institute in Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery.
During his time at AIIMS, he specialised in the treatment of eye diseases, particularly corneal and ocular surface abnormalities. He also obtained great expertise doing numerous eye operations, including anterior segment surgeries such as cataract surgery, LASIK, and corneal transplantation. His knowledge includes the most recent treatment modalities, such as sutureless corneal transplants, lamellar procedures, and stem cell transplants.
He has also participated in a variety of teaching and research activities, with several research articles published in international publications. He has pioneered new approaches such as minimally invasive therapies and innovative surgical procedures. He has also written books about corneal transplants and LASIK surgery.
