Dr. Rahul Gupta has over 20 years of neurosurgery expertise. He received his education at the Government Medical College in Rohtak and the PGIMER in Chandigarh. Before joining Fortis Healthcare in July 2012, he worked as a teaching faculty member in the department of Neurosurgery at PGIMER, Chandigarh and GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi for 8 years.
He has given several papers at national and international conferences and has published over 55 publications in prestigious national and international scientific journals. In 2011, he was given the prestigious Sugita Scholarship at Nagoya University of Medical Science in Japan.
Dr. Rahul received fluorescence (5-ALA) training in malignant glioma surgery in Graz, Austria, and functional neurosurgery training in Amsterdam, Holland. He is a member of several neurosurgical societies and an active participant in them.
His special interests include minimally invasive brain and spine surgery, endoscopic skull base surgery, endovascular neurosurgery (complex brain tumour and neurovascular surgery), and paediatric neurosurgery. He has extensive experience managing severe brain and spine trauma cases. He has done over 10,000 neurosurgical operations with a high percentage of success.
He is participating in various community outreach activities to share awareness about brain and spine health. He has also published a book titled "Back Pain" both in English and Hindi.
