Dr. Praveen Chandra is a well-known and recognised Interventional Cardiology specialist in India. He is well-known for his experience and understanding in interventional cardiology, as well as for creating new and innovative technologies and gadgets.
Dr. Praveen Chandra has over three decades of expertise and conducts over 5000 percutaneous and diagnostic treatments each year.
He focuses in developing approaches that aim to reduce the number of open operations. Dr. Praveen Chandra was the first surgeon in India to undertake a percutaneous aortic valve implantation. He has also created strategies to lessen the number of patients who require bypass surgery and has been working to improve angioplasty procedures to aid in the treatment of many blocked arteries.
Dr. Chandra employed the Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) procedure on a 78-year-old patient to treat numerous coronary blockages, and he was highlighted in The Times of India, a renowned Indian publication.
He is frequently invited as a faculty member to attend conferences, conduct talks, and present papers on his field of study. He also holds frequent seminars and gatherings to promote his research and discuss advances in interventional cardiology.
Dr. Praveen Chandra has made significant contributions to cardiology, particularly in coronary angioplasty, for which he has received several accolades and recognition. He was a member of the Asian team that launched the Percutaneous Myocardial Laser Revascularization Program.
He has over 100 publications in prestigious national and international medical journals in the form of abstracts, articles, and papers.
