Biography

Dr. Pawan completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Internal Medicine at the prestigious King George's Medical College in 2007. During his MD, he developed an interest in haematology and has since been involved in the management of all types of Haemato-oncology cases.

For three years, until July 2010, he worked as a senior registrar in the haematology department at CMC, Vellore, where he had the honour of working with Dr. Mammen Chandy, known as the "Father of Indian Haematology."

He received his DM in Clinical Haematology from the AIIMS in New Delhi (India's number one medical training institution). Dr. Singh has worked at two world-renowned haematology training facilities (AIIMS in New Delhi and CMC in Vellore).

Dr. Pawan has two years of experience working in a haematology lab and can see and report on peripheral blood smears and bone marrow.

He has performed over 700 bone marrow transplants (autologous/allogenic-MSD/Haplo/MUD) for both malignant and non-malignant blood disorders such as thalassemia and aplastic anaemia. Adult and paediatric patients are eligible for BMT. Artemis Hospital's BMT programme is running smoothly, with 8-10 transplants performed each month. Artemis Hospital recently passed the 200 BMT milestone in the last two years.

Dr. Pawan is a member of the ISHBT and EHA, as well as a reviewer for the Indian Journal of Hematology and Blood Transfusion. He has written and published a book of MCQs in haematology (3rd edition due out in September 2021). He has numerous publications in national and international journals to his name, and he presented three papers at the EHA Annual Meeting in Vienna in 2015. He works as a PI and Co-PI on clinical trials at Artemis Hospital and ILBS in New Delhi
