Biography

Debashish Chanda has 17 years of expertise as an excellent and fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon.

He graduated and completed his postgraduate studies at Guwahati Medical College in Assam, after which he worked at top hospitals of India such as, Lok Nayak Hospital, Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital in New Delhi, Lilavati Hospital, Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, W Pratiksha Hospital, Columbia Asia Hospital, Paras Hospital, and UPHI, Gurgaon.

His areas of expertise include cartilage microsurgeries, chondrocyte transfer & chondroplasty, joint preservation procedures, joint replacement surgery (knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, and wrist), revision joint replacements, complex joint replacements, stiff joint surgeries, including arthroscopic surgery for ACL/PCL tear, meniscus tear, repair and transplants, and stiff joint surgeries.

He has over 4000 joint replacements and over 2000 computer navigation aided replacement procedures under his belt. He is one of just a few doctors in India who has received robotic-assisted knee and hip surgery training in Germany.
