Biography

Dr. (Col) Manjinder Sandhu earned his medical degree from the Armed Forces Medical College in 1986. In 1993, he received his MD (Medicine) from Pune University and his DNB (Medicine). He received a gold medal for finishing first in MD. In 2001, he received his DM (Cardiology) from PGIMER, Chandigarh.

He is an interventional cardiologist with an impressive 16 years of post-DM expertise and has independently conducted over 20,000 treatments to date. His practise focuses on difficult coronary treatments such as primary angioplasty (with thrombosuction devices, IABP, and other devices), bifurcation lesions, chronic complete occlusions, and left main lesions. He is well-versed in the use of adjunctive devices such as cutting balloons, angiosculpt, IVUS, Rotablation, and so on. The Radial Route is used for the majority of them.

He had a remarkable career in the Army Medical Corps, most recently serving as Senior Adviser (Medicine and Cardiology) at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt, and as Additional Professor of Medicine and Cardiology at Army College of Medical Sciences, Delhi Cantt.

He has had the privilege of accompanying the President of India on visits as his Cardiologist.

He is a member of the American College of Cardiology as well as the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.

He was the Director of Cardiology at Artemis Hospital and has gradually assumed various key managerial roles. He oversaw Business Planning & Strategy, Overseas Business Development, Medical Committees, and Patient Redressal and Billing Escalations for Artemis in addition to directing his department. He also just earned his Master’s in Health Administration at Walden University in the United States.

As a member of the board of directors of Artemis Cardiac Care, he was the driving force behind the organisation and is involved in strategy, collaborations, driving clinical excellence, and general corporate management.

Now he is heading Cardiology in Fortis Hospital, Gurgaon as Principal Director, Cardiology & Cardiac Care
