Dr. Arvinder Singh Soin has extensive expertise with liver transplant surgery. He has over 38 years of expertise and has successfully treated many patients.
In India, he was the first to do Living Donor Liver Transplant operation. He has performed over 2500 Living Donor Liver Transplants, which is the most in India and the second most in the world.
He established the largest Liver Transplant Unit at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, which has taught the majority of India's and neighbouring countries' liver transplant surgeons.
To mention a few areas of expertise, there is Liver Cancer, Cirrhosis, Bile Duct Cancer, Gall Bladder Cancer, Biliary Stricture, Liver Cyst, Liver Metastases, and Biliary Atresia.
Dr. Soin was given the Padma Shri by the President of India for his work in building a comprehensive liver transplant programme in India.
He has more than 110 original research papers published in national and international journals and books.
