Dr. Abhinandan Mukhopadhyay is one of the renowned surgeons for urological surgeries and kidney transplant, he received his MBBS from Calcutta National Medical College, Calcutta University, his MS in General Surgery from the prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER, Chandigarh), and his MCh in Urology from the same Nationally Recognized Institute (PGIMER, Chandigarh).
Throughout his academic career, he has been an outstanding student. In 2008, he was ranked 23rd in the All-India PG entrance examination held by AIIMS. He also placed 38th in the PGI Chandigarh MD/MS entrance test. He came in third place in the all-India Urology admission examination held by PGI, Chandigarh.
He specialises in treating kidney stone disease, male sexual issues, infertility, prostate disorders, sophisticated reconstructive procedures for urethral stricture, and urological cancer surgery. During his residency at the PGI in Chandigarh, he participated in over 300 robotic-assisted laparoscopic operations for urological cancers and difficult reconstructive treatments.
He joined the faculty of GGS Medical College and Hospital in Faridkot, Punjab, after completing his super speciality training. He created the Department of Urology at GGS Medical College and was heavily involved in the education of undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. Over the course of two and a half years, more than 600 major urological procedures were performed.
He has also served as a consultant urologist at the Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital in Delhi and the Fortis Memorial Research Institute in Gurugram.
Dr. Abhinandan is also incredibly devoted in academic activities. He has given several research paper presentations at national and international conferences and has seven publications to his credit.
